Mary Gale Carter
(August 8, 1862- November 18, 1929) A sandy, sun-washed, limestone yellow, this color is named for the third lady of Hyde Hall, Mary Gale Carter. She oversaw the initial restoration of the house as it was turned back into a year-round home. Her colorway was designed to reflect the exterior of the building and the ashlar limestone blocks used to build it.
